Hi! My name is Stephanie Sarsfield and I live in Colorado, USA.

I have been making mini-bears since 1998. I had never seen or heard of miniature bears before then. I bought a book on making minis and couldn’t wait to get started. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the right kind of fabric, threads or hardware, and I had never made a bear of any size before. I pushed on anyway and made the ugliest little bear that I had ever seen. I carried that bear around for weeks. I couldn’t get over how small it was, even if it was ugly and the stitches showed. I still have that bear and don’t think I could give her up for anything. I have made smaller, bigger and much better bears since then, but none of them hold a place in my heart like that first one!

Through the years, I collected piles of great fabrics just for mini-bears. Searching for new fabrics is just as much fun for me as making the bears! I am always on the lookout for something new and interesting. When the cabinets started overflowing, I decided it was time to sell some. Imagine my surprise when I found out there were mini-bear artists all over the world that were having the same problem finding quality mini-bear materials!

I have spent countless hours looking for a shop that sells items just for mini bears. No matter how long I searched, I never found one. I found a couple things here and a couple things there, but who wants to order from 5 different places? That was when I decided that I should just open my own online shop. Everything in my shop is for making miniatures. Fabrics, thread, hardware and tools, all are sized just right for our needs. Many items have been special ordered or custom-made. I test everything myself. If it doesn't work for me then I won't sell it here.
